Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 15 August 2026
This policy summarizes how customer service refunds and optional provider collaboration-plan cancellations work in MIMO. The complete solo-provider toolkit and all customer features are free; subscription rules apply only when a business voluntarily buys Pro, Business, or Teams for multi-user collaboration. This policy is part of the MIMO Terms of Service. If this summary conflicts with a legal requirement or the Terms, the requirement or the more specific Terms provision controls.
Customer service refund requests
- A customer can open the paid appointment in MIMO and submit one refund request while the ordinary refund window is open.
- The ordinary window closes seven calendar days after the later of successful Stripe payment and job completion or cancellation. The period does not begin while the job is still open.
- Submitting or withdrawing a request does not move money and does not guarantee approval. The provider may approve a full refund, approve a partial refund, or decline the request, subject to applicable law.
- A business owner or admin may also initiate a full or partial refund for an eligible transaction.
- Duplicate charges, fraud, payment errors, chargebacks, and refunds required by law may be handled outside the ordinary seven-day window.
How approved service refunds are funded
Stripe processes an approved refund from the provider’s connected Stripe balance. The customer receives the full amount approved by the provider. MIMO charges no service-payment commission, so there is no MIMO application fee to retain or return. Stripe processing fees may remain the provider’s responsibility. An insufficient connected balance can cause Stripe to leave the refund pending until funds become available.
MIMO does not mark a refund complete or reduce the job’s paid amount based on a button press alone. The status changes only after MIMO receives and verifies the Stripe result.
Provider subscription cancellations
- MIMO Pro, Business, and Teams renew automatically at the monthly, quarterly, or annual interval chosen at checkout until canceled.
- The business owner may cancel at any time from the Payments and plans screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and the paid entitlement remains active through that date.
- Provider subscription charges are nonrefundable and are not prorated for unused time, a downgrade, or early cancellation, except where required by law or where MIMO corrects a duplicate charge or MIMO billing error.
- Canceling a provider subscription does not cancel a Stripe connected account, customer payments, open refunds, disputes, or payouts.
